The Sivananda way comprises of a set of simple, intermediate level postures.
Principles of asana
Be sure to develop a firm grasp of the principles of asana practice before
attempting this sequence, making up your own sequences or combining these exercisest
with other diciplines.
Warming up and getting into the flow
Always start your session with gentle exersises. Work up to the more difficult postures. Do, for example,
Do a forward stretch, sitting, or a table stretch. Then loosen up the ankles, the writst and neck.
Follow with a light back bend, more forward bends and side stetching before attempting any postur
