About this book
a Zen Way of Yoga stresses the necessity of body, mind and spirit integration
through use of simple body- and breath techniques. An understanding of yoga is developed according to the traditional yoga models of exercise, metaphysics and health. The esoteric and practical aspects of yoga are brought into focus and exposed to modern day lifestyles and issues of personal health, creative expression and nature conservation. Spirituality is embraced as a practical tool for better understanding of the self in order to accept responsibility for ones health, to establish an ethical code of conduct and a creative approach to everyday living.
This heightened self awareness teaches the individual to synthesize a personal practice based on their individual need. A Zen Way of Yoga shows how yoga can help every unique individual to develop a unique way of being, in harmony with the natural environment according to the timeless universal approach of Zen and the Tao to philosophy, nature and art. An approach of therapeutic holism is encouraged at the workplace, while working out, or taking time out to relax.
